Welcome to my Blog: The Journalling Gypsy!

Little old me under the Eiffel Tower in Paris!

G'day! Hello! Bonjour! Aloha!...Of course I could go on and on! But you get my drift... Welcome, I'm so glad your here!

This place is a worldly home and an exciting haven for the adventurers, the gypsy creatives - the artists, writers, and the lovers of nature. I'm speaking also to the travellers, and the truth seekers amongst us, and to all those that appreciate the sensory and beautiful!

Phew! I know, it's a lot! and forgive me for coming across as a little 'too much' or passionate, because that's generally how I am about all these things!!

So thank you for reading, I'm Natalie Jean, and I'm so glad you've found me here in this beautiful little pocket of the world where I currently sit. If you stay awhile I'd like to tell you a bit about where I am and how I got here and also where I'm headed (though that is subjective, and one can only have a plan for that!)

The beaches here are amongst the best in the world and it's a life I once dreamed of 20 years ago, when I was a lonely housewife and young mother.

Way back then I also dreamed of becoming an author and just writing in general...of travel, (which my heart and soul truly longed for) and probably mostly, for the liberation that comes from making your own decisions, of carving out time for yourself, your purpose, and what brings more passion, love, and joy into your life.

Now that I've grown up and been on a radical and epic growth and self development journey, I've finally arrived at that point I was dreaming of 20 years ago! It has taken me a while but here I am, I've published 3 books so far and I've started travelling the world and discovering all those amazing lands and sacred sites my heart and soul has yearned for!

So, I've got something to share!

As they say, sharing is caring! and one of the best things about going on a journey is that it teaches you so much. Upon reflection (and again, I'm going to warn you here also, I am an absolute expert reflectionist!) you begin to notice that even through all the trials and all the shitty, hard experiences, that there are gifts and a certain richness that is leftover, and this becomes truly impossible not to share!

I'm so glad I found my voice! #Writersvoice #liberation

And this essentially is the beautiful cycle of receiving and giving. The spiral of being the student receiving knowledge taught by the teacher, which then becomes the student as the teacher, this time giving, by passing on that knowledge and wisdom once more...

I've been pretty normal (whatever that means) and quiet and unassuming most of my life. At 5 foot 2 inches I don't stand out too much unless I'm placed amongst a professional basketball team! But in undertaking my own heroines journey, in discovering myself, my purpose, and my passions, and allowing myself the time and magic to fill my own cup I have noticed that I've stepped into a pretty potent power.

And of course, I want to share that too, because when we are all in our power the world is a much better place! It brings to my mind the model of a circle, where people gather for the benefit of all the community rather than the triangular bottom heavy versions, where authoritarians lead from the top, directing, controlling, and leaving little for the majority.

Nope! There's no equal giving and receiving in that!

So with that in mind and to say thank you for reading,

I'm going to leave you with something

"We were never meant to live life accumulating stuff. We were meant to live simply enjoying the experiences of life, the people of life, and the journey of life - not the things of life."

- Joshua Becker

Natalie x
